CAT playroom

Opening times: We are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Visitors: We request that your child has a maximum of 2 visitors with them when they attend the unit. This is for infection control purposes as well as because of the limited waiting area space.

Food/Drinks: There is a parent’s milk kitchen on the ward where you can get hot drinks for yourself. Please ask at reception for details. There is a vending machine for snacks in the corridor outside. Children will be offered drinks, and food at meal times, but we cannot cater for the wider family. We can provide some types of formula milk for babies that are bottle fed. There is a restaurant located on ‘C’ Floor of Clarendon wing, which is next to the Jubilee wing. There is also a ‘Costa’ located on the ‘B’ Floor of Jubilee wing (at the entrance) as well a small shop that sells snacks and drinks.

Car Parking: There are a number visitor car parks located across different sites of the hospital but the closest car park to the CAT unit is the multi-story car park located on Clarendon way, opposite the Jubilee wing/A&E entrance to the hospital. See information on The Leeds Children's Hospital for more information on parking places and charges.
