Conditions and treatment

Once the working diagnosis is known patients are seen in clinic by the specialist to provide information about the type of gynaecological cancer and potential treatment plan.

The treatment options may include surgery, radiotherapy, drug therapy (including chemotherapy) or a combination of these together with symptom management.

Please click on the links below to provide more detailed information about the treatment options for each specific gynaecological cancer.

When treatment is complete

When treatment is complete the specialist will discuss what happens next as follow up can be variable depending on the treatment intervention and other potential options available.

The Gynaecology Cancer Nurse Specialist team are always available for advice and can be contacted on 0113 2067820 or e-mail leedsth-tr.GynaeCNS@nhs.net
