Welcome to the adult liver unit website. The purpose of this site is to provide information for clinicians and GP’s looking after people with a liver condition, and people who are in anyway affected by liver disease.
What we do
The Adult Liver Unit has been consecutively awarded the Charter Mark for its excellence of service since 1995 and is led by a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team with a wide background of knowledge. The ward is on the training circuit for medical students, student nurses and doctors in training.
In December 2009, the Unit moved to new facilities situated in Bexley wing, ward 83. The Unit’s bed base has increased to 32 beds, of which 21 remain as the supra-regional referral centre for care of patients with hepatobilary disorders. The ward cares for a mixture of patients with both high and low dependency needs.
