Welcome to Voluntary Services
Volunteers are vital in helping the Trust deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to our many patients and their carers. Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for people to give back to their local hospital and to help make a real difference to their local community.
What we do
Volunteering is an excellent opportunity, no matter what your age. It can provide younger people with an opportunity to gain some fantastic experience and develop skills that can be used in future workplaces. Volunteering with the Trust also offers older people the opportunity to get out of the house and meet new people.
There are many voluntary roles within the Trust including ward roles where you can talk and listen to the patients, help out at meal times and escort patients to visit the hospital amenities or reception and meet and greet roles where you will direct and escort patients to their destination. For a full list of roles please see the Voluntary Roles page.
