There are over 200 types of cancer. Treatment is not the same for all of these. Through our specialist diagnostic and treatment Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDT's) we make sure your treatment plan is tailored to your needs.

Radiotherapy

The Radiotherapy department at the St James's Institute on Oncology is one of the largest in the UK, offering state of the art radiotherapy.  50% of all cancer patients have radiotherapy.

Your Treatment

Many people are referred to our services to have investigations for suspected cancer.  We have a reputation for high quality diagnostics.  If you are diagnosed with cancer, we have a full range of treatments including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.  






Chemotherapy

Over 5,000 people have chemotherapy at St. James's Institute of Oncology. The main day case unit is located on level 1 in Bexley Wing.    



Your Support

Leeds Cancer Support complements care provided by your clinical team, offering a range of services and information in a welcoming environment for you, your family and friends.

Services offered include emotional support, financial support , information, and support with hair loss. The service can accessed from the  information lounges within Bexley Wing and the Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre
