How you can work with us
In this section you can find information on how to get more involved with the work of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
We want people to know more about how we are run and how they con contribute to our future plans by signing up to be a Member. There are many opportunities for patients and the public to learn more about our hospitals and help influence the future development of our hospitals.
We have a long tradition of fundraising to support the work of all our hospitals. Every year the incredible generosity of people from Leeds and around the region helps raise millions of pounds which are spent alongside NHS funds to improve care for all our patients.
Our hospitals are also hugely enriched by the selfless work of volunteers who do so much to help support NHS staff by helping to make a patient's stay in hospital more pleasant.
Volunteers are vital in helping the Trust deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to our many patients and their carer’s. Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for people to give back to their local hospital and to help make a real difference to their local community.
Our charities and fundraising
The tradition of fundraising to support the different hospitals in Leeds goes back to the earliest days of healthcare in the city, and over the years the generosity of local people has raised tens of millions pounds.
This funding is over and above the money the National Health Service provides, and allows us to make our hospitals an even better place for our patients. Charity money helps us buy extra equipment, creates an improved environment in many of our buildings, and funds more life-saving research.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who pitches in and helps raise money, including the many local, regional and national charities who work with us as well as individuals who volunteer their time and skills to help raise money.
Every penny really does make a difference. Find out more about the charities linked to the Leeds Teaching Hospitals and how you can get involved or make a donation:
