He is an enormously valued member of the team and he has worked tirelessly during this time to establish Leeds Teaching Hospitals as one of ‘the best places to work’ in the NHS. His departure from this role, which is one of the biggest HR jobs in the NHS, will be felt by many colleagues here and throughout the wider NHS”

“After 20 years as a Board director in the NHS it feels like the right time to pursue other opportunities and a more flexible portfolio career.
“It has been a difficult decision to make as I have enjoyed my time working with some enormously talented people here at Leeds and in the wider NHS. I feel privileged to have played a key part in the development of a high quality, patient-centred organisational culture at Leeds and feel proud to be leaving the organisation with stronger performance and an improved financial position. I am looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities ahead”.
