The Research & Development Department is a central corporate function within the Trust. The Department, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, supports the development of high quality R&D within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
What we do
The R&D Department takes an organisation-level lead in ensuring that research is conducted and managed to high scientific, ethical and financial standards, prepares all submissions to the West Yorkshire Comprehensive Local Network (WYCLRN) and Department of Health (DH) to secure and account for R&D monies received and contributes to developing an active research organisation. In order to meet these responsibilities, the Department works closely with the Directorates which acts as an autonomous business unit.
