Research Governance
Introduction
Research is essential to the promotion of health and well being. It needs to be managed well to ensure that risks are minimised and research is carried out to the highest ethical and scientific standards. Research Governance is aimed at continuous improvement of standards in research practice.
The Research Governance Framework sets out to define standards and good practice in research, across all aspects of healthcare. The Framework applies to all those who participate in, host, fund, manage or undertake research.
