Shape our work
We will soon be applying to become a Foundation Trust. We will still be part of the NHS but we will be more accountable to local Members than to central management. Our structure will be like other organisations such as the Co-operative whose members have a say in shaping the way they work.
Elect your Governors
Our Foundation Trust Members will elect representatives to a Council of Governors to work alongside the Board of Directors to achieve our vision and goals. It is important that when elections happen you use your vote to elect Governors to represent you by acting on things that matter to you.
Participate
You can support this new approach to running health care and hospitals by signing up as a Member. It is free and you will receive all the information you need to help you participate to the level you choose. You will not commit yourself to anything except being a supporter of the Foundation Trust. You can get more involved if it’s what you want. We will keep you in touch through a regular newsletter telling you about what’s happening in the hospitals.
This includes being invited to health events or talks by hospital experts - medical and nursing - about things like:
- Children’s health
- Treatments for heart disease
- Cancer Care
- Heath care for older people
