The Centre provides a multidisciplinary approach for the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of children with complex neurological disorders and developmental difficulties.
Therapy is provided within the Centre for pre-school children.The team offers early intervention for children on the neonatal units and early follow up within the CDC. Therapists are able to help and support children and their families both at home and in early years settings where appropriate. The team works closely with both health, social services and education colleagues to ensure children are integrated within their environment and achieve their potential. Medical follow up is provided from 0- 16(19) for children with complex developmental and neurological problems.
Joint neurology clinics are held every two months. In addition the specific clinics offered include nutrition clinics, clinics for children with Downs Syndrome and Autism.
