Haematology Outpatient and Day Case Unit (The Bryon Roberts Unit)

Haematology Out-Patients and the Roberts Day Unit is a combined facility which specialises in Malignant and Non-malignant haematological diseases. Varied treatments are administered i.e. chemotherapy, blood transfusions etc. Clinics are run daily apart from Tuesday morning. All clinics are specialised and are segregated into different diseases. The Day Unit Clinic sees an average of 35 patients per day and the Out-Patient Clinic sees up to 100 patients a day. There is also an out-reach clinic at Wharfedale Hospital which runs on a Wednesday and Thursday each week.

Ward 88

Ward 88 is an adult haematology ward which has 20 single occupancy rooms with en-suite facilities. The ward is designated for both general haematology disease e.g. haemophilia and malignant disease e.g. leukaemia. It is based on Level 3 Bexley Wing.

Ward 89

Ward 89 is an adult 20 bedded Haematology Ward which cares for patients with non-malignant and malignant disease. The ward also has 4 beds for designated Bone Marrow Transplant patients. It is based on Level 3 Bexley Wing.

Ward 94

Ward 94 is a Young Adult Ward designated for patients aged between 18 and 24 with malignant disease. It has 9 beds, 3 of which are single rooms and 2 bays of 3 beds in each. The facilities include a study/IT room, large day room, parents' lounge and a therapy room for alternative therapies for patients and their carers. It is based on Level 5 Bexley Wing.
