Frequently Asked Questions
What will my scan show?
Early pregnancy scanning can be difficult to interpret sometimes and we might need to do more than one scan before we can say what is happening. Here is a link to the Association of early pregnancy units (AEPU) website, which has explanations and pictures of what your scan might show. What will the scan show?
How long will I have to wait to be seen?
You will be asked to sit in our waiting area. If our unit is busy our staff will be caring for other unwell women and you may need to wait for up to four hours. If your symptoms are getting worse you or a next of kin should inform a staff member. We will do our best to inform you of how long the wait might be, however this can be very difficult to estimate.
If you have an appointment hopefully you shouldn't have to wait, however delays may occur to appointment times during emergencies or if the unit is busy. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.
Where can I park?
Please see the trust page on car parking for more information.
