Our team of expert paediatric surgeons work with patients from the newborn stage up to late adolescence. General Paediatric Surgeons cover a wide range of surgeries and each of our surgeons has a sub-specialist interest - an area they specialise in providing training and expertise across Leeds Children's Hospital.

- Mr Naved Alizai - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Lead Clinician, with a subspecialised interest in hepatobiliary, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery
- Mr Michael Dawrant - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest in hepatobiliary surgery
- Miss Emma Sidebotham - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest in thoracic/chest wall/airway and upper gastrointestinal surgery
- Mr Ed Hannon - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with an interest in thoracic surgery
- Mr Mark Powis - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest oncology surgery, gastrointestinal surgery (including minimally invasive gastro-oesophageal reflux surgery), minimally invasive surgery
- Miss Bhanu Lakshminarayanan - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest oncology surgery
- Mr Ian Sugarman - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest lower gastrointestinal surgery, including Hirschsprung’s disease, anorectal malformation, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) surgery, familial polyposis surgery, rectal prolapse surgery and surgery for constipation
- Mr Jonathan Sutcliffe - Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a subspecialised interest lower gastrointestinal surgery, including Hirschsprung’s disease, anorectal malformation, IBD surgery, motility disorders and research
