What’s your role and how did you come to working at the MND Centre? (how long have you been here?)

I am a Neuro-physiotherapist previously working in Neuro-outpatients and was asked if I would like to join the team when someone else left. I have been on the team for 5 years

What part of the care jigsaw do you provide for MND patients?

My aim is to keep our patients as mobile as possible for as long as possible and problem solving closely with occupational therapy to help people to do things that they are passionate about. My role includes close working with orthotics to assess and provide supports and walking aids in their own home.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I love the continuity of timely care I can provide building patients confidence and working with such a close and supportive team from a number of disciplines form the time of diagnosis through their life.

If you were not working here, where would you be / what would you be doing?

Retired, gardening and walking in the hills with my dog.

Is there a highlight moment in your time here?

Many with many patients however being able to maintain my role as an MND therapist when I needed to cut my hours for work life balance reasons meant the world to me. I love this job.
