Leeds Vascular Institute is committed to improving the treatment of patients with vascular disorders and related conditions. This can only be achieved through the undertaking of high quality research.

We have a dedicated and experienced Clinical Research Nurse team who have a thorough understanding of the research process and terminology. Our Research Nurses manage all phases of clinical trials, conducted to the highest standard in accordance with the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) and good Clinical Practice principles.

Acting as advocates, our Research Nurses ensure the patients are protected throughout the research study. Our clinical trial profile includes commercial or National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded, observational, device and medicinal products. These range from small pilot, proof-of-concept to large international, randomised-controlled trails, both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
