The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Occupational Health Service

The Occupational Health Service (OHS) gives specialist advice and support to staff and the Trust.

We provide services to many other organisations in and around Leeds. OHS is working towards accreditation with SEQOHS. SEQOHS stands for Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Service and is a set of standards and a voluntary accreditation scheme for occupational health services in the UK and beyond. The service is led by a Clinical Services Manager supported by a senior Consultant in Occupational Medicine and a Business Transformation Manager.

What we do

Occupational health services are there to support people in the workplace, to help to ensure that workplaces are safe and healthy and to address health problems when they arise. Occupational health is concerned with the interaction of health and work recognising that work can affect health and vice versa.

Our service is provided by a team of specialist nurses, specialist doctors, psychiatrists, a psychologist and back care advisers all supported by and working alongside non-clinical support colleagues.
