The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Children's Oncology Clinic

We provide Orthoptic support for the Children's Oncology team at the Leeds General Infirmary (C Floor, Clarendon Wing), one session per week on a Tuesday morning.

Children attending these clinics may be inpatients or outpatients. The Orthoptic role is to closely monitor any eye changes and to liaise with the Children's Oncology team to decide on management/treatment where appropriate.

If a child has double vision, a squint which may require an operation or needs a glasses test, the Orthoptist will arrange for the child to be seen in the Orthoptic and Children's Eye Clinic at St. James University Hospital, for further tests and management.
