Short notice appointments

The Referral and Booking Service (RBS) are currently trialling a new service to contact patient by text message where short notice appointments become available.

Short notice appointments occur due to additional capacity being made available through patient cancellations or other similar circumstances.

If you receive a text message inviting you to contact us to arrange a short notice appointment this should not be taken to mean that your current illness or condition requires urgent medical attention.

If you are unavailable for a short notice appointment you will remain on the waiting list and will be contacted when a suitable appointment slot is available for you to be seen.
