Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGF-BP3)

IGFBP3 is the major carrier of IGF1 and IGF2. It is GH responsive. Increased in acromegaly. Decreased in hypopituitarism, isolated GH deficiency, poorly controlled diabetes and caloric and protein malnutrition.
