Sickle Solubility Test URGENT (A&E Only)

The sickle solubility test is a screening method for the presence of HbS. It will not differentiate between homozygous or heterozygous forms. This test should only be used in URGENT cases when there is insufficient time for the full Haemoglobinopathy screen.
