Autoantibodies to the N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR). NMDAR antibodies were first reported in young female patients with ovarian tumours and prominent psychiatric symptoms, amnesia, seizures etc. The antibodies are now also reported in males or females with no known tumour
