Voltage gated calcium channel (VGCC) antibodies

Voltage gated calcium channel (VGCC) antibodies

This assay detects autoantibodies to P/Q-type (a1A) voltage gated calcium channels for the investigation of Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS).

ID 12796
Additional Information About half of patients with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) have small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and 85% have voltage gated calcium channel antibodies. However, VGCC antibodies can also be found at low levels in some patients with lung cancer without LEMS.
