24 March 2020

Dr Yvette Oade, Chief Medical Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust said today: “We can confirm that, sadly, four patients, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died. The patients, who were all male ranged between 45 years old and 90 years old.  They all had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time. We would ask the media to respect the privacy of the families, and the interests of staff at the hospital, to avoid any disruption to operational services.”
