My proudest moment in my job is:
Being asked to work for the Chief Executive
You wouldn’t know this about me:
I have made tea/coffee for two serving prime ministers.
Where did my career begin and how did I get to my current job?
I started my career working for a pneumatics company on a youth training scheme earning £29.50 per week, with day release to college studying business administration, typing, word processing and shorthand. After 4 years I moved into recruitment as an administrator working my way up to recruitment consultant. The selling side wasn’t for me so moved into a Office Manager/PA role where I worked for 11 years before joining the NHS.
What did I learn on my journey/top tips?
If you really want to achieve something in the NHS you can do. The Trust offers some amazing opportunities and training. Always believe in yourself as you never know what is round the corner.
