LGBT+ History Month - Meet our people: Ben Rhodes
26 February 2021
February is LGBT+ History Month, and as part of the celebrations we are putting the spotlight on some of the members of our LGBT+ Staff Network, LGBT+ Role Models, and those who identify as LGBT+ at the Trust.
We asked them to tell us a little bit about themselves and what they do here at LTHT.
Today we're hearing from Ben Rhodes, Head of Chaplaincy.
"Hello my name is Ben Rhodes. I’m the Head of Chaplaincy at LTHT, an Anglican priest, and a civilly partnered gay man. I am interested in the intersection of faith and belief with sexuality and gender identity; recognising both the negative and positive experiences of LGBT+ folk have with faith and belief organisations.
"LGBT+ Role Models are an important part of making visible LGBT+ folk in the Trust, as well as the things that matter to them and the challenges LGBT+ patients, staff, and volunteers face. Growing up through section 28 I know the importance of having visible representation in an organisation and wider society."
