Making LTHT the Best Place to Work
Every year we invite you to take part in a national survey of NHS staff – it’s a chance to feed back on the issues that matter most to you, to help make meaningful change to the organisation you work in, and to add your voice to the national picture.
Join the Conversation in 2021
The NHS Staff Survey opens 27 September - 26 November, 2021. Everyone at LTHT will receive an email from independent provider, Picker, with a link to take the survey. In 2020 nearly 600,000 people across the NHS responded to the Staff Survey. This year, make sure your voice is heard.
Working together to create meaningful change
We look at the results of the Staff Survey through the reports that independent provider Picker send us. These show us what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do things differently. These themes are then taken forward by project teams – some are happening right now, others have already been delivered!
Always anonymous
Staff often ask whether the Staff Survey is anonymous. The answer is yes - the NHS Staff Survey is completely anonymous.
- Independent company Picker will anonymise your answers, which the Trust receives as summary reports at different levels - Trustwide, CSU, department, and team.
- Reminders and competition draws are sent from Picker using a unique ID number that the Trust won’t have access to.
- No one else at LTHT will see your completed survey or be able to identify individual responses.
Protected time
The Staff Survey should take only 10-15 minutes to complete. All managers are asked to provide 20 minutes during the working day for staff to complete their survey.
Accurate and reliable data
The data produced by the Staff Survey is to the standard of an official statistic. Independent survey provider, Picker, provides us with lots of reports to be able to understand staff feedback at a Trustwide, CSU, department and team level. Managers and their teams are encouraged to make the most of their team reports and using them to inform team huddles and Perfect Ward Boards.
A cuppa for your thoughts + WIN a day's annual leave
This year, everyone who completes the Staff Survey online will receive a free Barista Tea or Coffee voucher for use across cafes at all LTHT sites. Those who complete a paper survey can also receive a free drinks voucher by following the QR code provided in their invitation.
Staff will also be automatically entered into a prize draw for a chance to WIN a day’s annual leave for up to 20 lucky winners! The voucher and prize draw are organised by Picker. Simply complete the Staff Survey and Picker will be in touch.
