There is a pay and display car park located on the Wharfedale Hospital site, it is located at the rear of the site, and there is a designated drop-off point at the entrance to the hospital.
The car park has 64 spaces allocated for general parking and 21 designated spaces for disabled parking.
There are 2 bays dedicated for charging electric cars.

Cashless Parking
Please note that, as of Friday 28th March 2025, all Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust car parks will be cash free. Payment will only be accepted on debit card, credit card or the PayByPhone App.
Exemptions for Patients and Visitors
In line with NHS guidelines, we provide free parking to patients and visitors with the greatest need.
Outpatient concessionary parking
This is available to patients who meet the criteria listed below:
- Chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment
- Cystic fibrosis care
- Renal dialysis treatment
- Phototherapy treatment at Chapel Allerton Hospital
- Frequent appointments – at least 3 within a month and for an overall period of at least 3 months
Inpatient concessionary parking
This is available to parents/relatives who meet the criteria listed below:
- Parent / Guardian of child inpatient
- Relative of intensive care inpatient
- Relative of terminally ill inpatient
- Relative support stroke rehabilitation
- Relative of inpatient exceeding 7 days
- Relative of end of life care
Request a permit
If you need to request a parking permit for a visitor or patient, the ward or department will need to complete the online Patient Parking Form.
Disabled car parking
Free car parking is available at all our hospitals for blue permit holders in designated marked spaces. If designated spaces are full, you can park in any of the visitor car parks. In order to provide free access for ambulances, emergency vehicles and hospital delivery vehicles, we would ask that you do not park on double yellow lines, in ambulance bays or loading/delivery bays.
