Fairy Bricks donate Lego to Leeds Children's Hospital
8 September 2017
Last week, charity Fairy Bricks dropped in at Leeds Children’s Hospital to deliver a huge donation of Lego sets to be used by young patients on wards and departments across the hospital.
This was part of Fairy Bricks’ Tatiana Day - a series of donations in memory of thirteen year-old Tatiana, who was a big fan of Lego and benefited from the charity’s donations in the past.
The Fairy Bricks team challenged themselves to make 8 deliveries of Lego at hospitals across the region, including Huddersfield, Halifax, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Pontefract, Leeds, and Bradford - all in a single day!
Unfortunately, the van broke down a couple of times and they even had to install a new battery - but that didn’t stop the lads, who still managed to make each drop on schedule.
Lego serves as a stimulation and as a distraction, so is perfect for young patients in hospital. Thanks so much to the generosity and determination of Fairy Bricks for delivering this fantastic donation!
