Leeds Children's Hospital - part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - is holding an open day recruitment event for nurses on Saturday 18th March to showcase all the amazing work we do and the opportunities we have available at whatever stage of your career you are at.
We're looking for band 5 registered children's nurses, soon-to-qualify children's nurses and qualified adult nurses wishing to pursue a career in children's nursing.
Leeds Childrens Hospital is one of the UK's largest children's hospitals with state-of-the-art treatments and facilities. We provide one of the most comprehensive ranges of specialist children's services in the country and are recruiting across the following specialities:
- Paediatric Critical Care
- Neonatal Intensive Care
- Oncology and Haematology
Newly qualified nurses will be supported during their first 12 months with our comprehensive Preceptorship programme. Beyond the first 12 months and for qualified nurses we're really proud of our Early Career Framework which is a 3 year pathway to guide personal and professional development.
What to expect
At our open day event new nurses can expect to meet representatives from all advertised specialities and find out what it's like to work in each area.
There will be guided tours of Leeds Children's Hospital including a look inside some of our most specialist areas and cutting edge facilities. Tours will depart from Clarendon Wing Reception at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm. Sign up for a guided tour when you arrive.
Members of our Nursing Education Team will be on hand to talk you through the different routes into a career in children's nursing and how we can support you as you develop your career at Leeds Children's Hospital.
If you're applying for a role at Leeds Children's Hospital there will also be an opportunity to take part in an interview on the day.
