Changing Places
Changing Places are toilet facilities for people with profound or multiple disabilities.
The facilities are fitted with specialist equipment including a hoist and an adult-sized changing bench. They provide enough space for up to two carers to support someone with a disability.
Our first Changing Places facility was opened in Clarendon Wing at Leeds General Infirmary in 2016.
It is located just round the corner to the left of Clarendon Wing main reception on A floor - to access the facility please ask at reception for a key.
The Changing Place was officially opened by Annabel, one of our Get Me Better Champions who celebrated with her team.
Our second Changing Places facility opened on the St James's Hospital site in 2021. This is located in Gledhow wing on the ground floor, please ask at reception for directions.
If you have any questions about Changing Places in our hospitals please email Leedsth-tr.ldautism@nhs.net or phone 0113 2066836.
