Leeds Cares Research Funding Calls Open To Internal Applicants

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is pleased to announce three research funding opportunities for staff at the trust, thanks to our official charity partner Leeds Cares. 

Leeds Cares Pre Doctoral Clinical Fellowship

Two awards are available of up to £65K for clinicians who are at an early stage of their research career and are wishing to pursue a clinical academic career. The fellowship will enable dedicated time to carry out research to gain pilot data prior to applying for a doctoral level personal fellowship through one of the major grant awarding bodies.

Leeds Cares Project Grant funding opportunity

One award is available of up to £25K. This award is aimed at staff from all professional backgrounds to develop an innovative idea or research project which aims to improve clinical outcomes, services or pathways. Leeds Cares Clinical Academic Research Activity scheme

This scheme will fund dedicated time for those who are at consultant level to increase their research skills and experience. To be eligible, applicants must have a PhD of MD and be in the first five years of their appointment to a consultant position.
