Requesting meals and food boxes - Information for staff

Thank you for your interest in receiving free meals and food boxes for your team.  We are only able to provide this through the generosity of the public and local businesses.

Requesting meals

The Health and Wellbeing team are currently working with local  businesses and charities who would like to provide meals as a generous recognition of your  hard work.

Meals will be delivered to LGI or SJUH and be required to be collected by a member of your team. We hope to be able to add more dates and deliveries to the peripheral sites over the next week or two as more donors are approved.

Please note, we cannot accommodate any specific requests for special dietary requirements, allergen free food, vegetarian or vegan food or meals that comply with religious guidance.  We ask all providers to label their food for allergens.

You are responsible for collecting the meals from the food provider, to maintain social distancing it is important that you collect your meals promptly at the time and location you have been allocated.

Take a photo / write a message of thanks and return to leedsth-tr.HealthandWellbeing@nhs.net within 48 hours of receiving your meals. This is to ensure that we give a personal thank you to every generous provider.  Where photos are shared, please be aware that these may be used on social media, so ensure everyone participating in the photo gives permission for this.

 Requesting food boxes

 Ask your team if they would like to participate and record your request in the “food box requests” table. Please ensure that only one request is submitted per team. Teams who submit multiple requests will be excluded from the process.

  • Food box deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you are allocated a food box this will be delivered by our portering team to the location you request. Please note, that we cannot guarantee that you will always receive a food box, this is dependent on the number of donations of food we receive.  We will always prioritise teams who have not previously received a food box.
