Our charities and fundraising
The tradition of fundraising to support the different hospitals in Leeds goes back to the earliest days of healthcare in the city, and over the years the generosity of local people has raised tens of millions pounds.
This funding is over and above the money the National Health Service provides, and allows us to make our hospitals an even better place for our patients. Charity money helps us buy extra equipment, creates an improved environment in many of our buildings, and funds more life-saving research.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who pitches in and helps raise money, including the many local, regional and national charities who work with us as well as individuals who volunteer their time and skills to help raise money.
Every penny really does make a difference.
