Children's Emergency Department

Welcome to the Paediatric Emergency Department at Leeds Children's Hospital. As a major trauma centre we see children and young people with a wide range of medical illnesses and injuries.

We are located on the ground floor of Jubilee Wing next door to the Adult Emergency Department at Leeds General Infirmary.

Please note - there is no Emergency Department for children under 16 at St James's University Hospital. All children under the age of 16 who need emergency care should go to the Children's Emergency Department at Leeds General Infirmary.

Our Children's Emergency Department remains very busy - if you are worried about Scarlet fever and invasive Group A Strep.
please see our website for information about symptoms and what to do.
