What we do

We provide assessment, treatment and advice, on a variety of conditions to children and families both on the wards, in outpatients and at home, nursery or school.

We have specialised teams of physiotherapists working in the following areas:

Respiratory Care

Cystic Fibrosis in and outpatients, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) in and outpatients, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), high dependency Unit (HDU), Cardiac care, General Respiratory Medicine, Neonatal intensive care and Surgery.

Congenital Cardiology

Regional in and outpatient service for children, adolescents and adults.


Regional in and outpatient service.


In-patient neurology ward including PICU and HDU. Outpatient spasticity clinics including Intrathecal Baclofen (ITB), Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), Botulinum Toxin clinics and Head Injury clinics.


Regional in and outpatient service.


Outpatient service for Leeds based neonates including input to baby massage groups and ward based developmental input including the Neonatal units at LGI and St James’s.


Ward based inpatient service for rehabilitation and outpatient follow up service for Leeds patients.


In and Outpatient based service working closely with the Orthopaedic Consultants.

Rheumatology and Pain

In and outpatient based service.
