We offer musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy for babies, toddlers, children and teenagers who may be born with a condition, develop a problem or have an injury or accident that requires them to need rehabilitation.
We treat patients with the following conditions:
- Following fracture or dislocation
- General joint pain
- Back pain
- Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis (SUFE)
- Perthes disease
- Osgood-schlatters disease
- Hypermobility
- Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
- Marfans syndrome
- Growing pains
- Torticollis
- Obstetrical Brachial Plexus Lesion / Erbs Palsy
- Talipes (club foot)
We can help to improve mobility, increase muscle strength, increase muscle flexibility, restore range of movement, provide advice on returning to sports, help prevent re-injury and assistance on returning to activities our patients enjoy.
Patients are referred to our team from consultants within Leeds Children's Hospital.
We also work in specialist out-patient clinics with the rheumatology and orthopaedic teams providing assessment, treatment and advice at the start of a patients journey.
If you have an outpatient appointment with us please ensure your child brings a pair of shorts to allow a thorough examination.
Lead physiotherapists can be provided on the email addresses provided. Alternatively you can contact the child therapy department on 0113 3926610
