Christian Hosker is the Lead Clinician for the Leeds Liaison Psychiatry Service. He has worked as a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist at St James University Hospital, since 2008 and has a special interest in palliative care psychiatry. He is additionally a Senior Honorary Lecturer at Leeds University and the Academic Secretary for the Northern and Yorkshire Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
As well as providing general liaison input for patients with a range of medical conditions, his clinical duties include the provision of four sessions of palliative care psychiatry, and the psychiatric element of the Leeds Psycho-Oncology Service.
He has had an active role in the British Psycho-Oncology Society Executive Committee since 2009.
He has previously been the associate medical director for mental health legislation within Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust and retains a special interest in mental health law.
Other interests include transplant psychiatry and bariatric mental health.
