Congenital heart disease with a special interest in Congenital Electrophysiology
Having completed my Paediatric Cardiology training in Leeds, I undertook a period of training in the Adult Electrophysiology department in Leeds, and subsequently a fellowship in Paediatric Electrophysiology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Since commencing my role as a Consultant in March 2012 I have continued my general work in Paediatric Cardiology, but also run specialist Congenital Arrhythmia Clinics for children with pacemakers, defibrillators and other implantable cardiac devices.
I am also involved in the care of children with arrhythmic Inherited Cardiac Conditions.
I am an interventional electrophysiologist, and perform keyhole procedures to treat heart rhythm problems on children and adults who were born with congenital heart disease. I also implant monitoring devices, pacemakers and defibrillators.
