| Special Interests | My specialist area is in interventional cardiology (angioplasty), in particular, the unblocking of completetly blocked heart arteries (chronic total occlusions) as opposed to narrowed arteries, and the emergency treatment of heart attacks. I also have specialist skills in complex angioplasty whereby a drill is used to open up the artery before a stent can be deployed to scaffold the heart artery open. |
