Bob is an oncologist with a particular interest in teenagers/young adults with cancer and in the supportive care elements of treatment. He has been Keynote speaker at global SIOP childhood cancer conferences and led the team to recieve the award of ‘Centre of Excellence’ in supportive care from MASCC.
Bob is an expert member of the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) Supportive Care group and has been involved in the development of national and international guidelines for the treatment of neutropenic sepsis.
In addition to his NHS role, he is a Clinical Academic who works in the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York/Hull-York Medical School.
