Audiology

The Audiology service at Wharfedale Hospital is provided by the Hearing and Balance Service and offers hearing assessments and high-quality Bluetooth hearing aids to adults in the Leeds area.

Hearing and Balance Centre (Audiology)

Please note that our Hearing and Balance Service has now moved hospitals from the Leeds General Infirmary to the Seacroft Hospital, Leeds LS14.

Department of Respiratory Medicine

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Department of Respiratory Medicine offers a wide range of services for respiratory conditions including asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, sleep apnoea, complex ventilation, and primary ciliary dyskinesia.

Day Case Surgery

A greater range of procedures are being offered to NHS patients as Day Cases. This reduces the need for an overnight stay in hospital and means you can rest and recuperate in your own home.

Ward 1 Wharfedale

Ward 1 is a multi-speciality surgical unit offering day case surgery and overnight stays. The unit also provides a dedicated treatment unit offering pain management procedures and haematology treatments and infusions.

Wharfedale Recovery Hub, Heather and Bilberry Units

Heather and Bilberry Units are managed by Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Wharfedale Urgent Treatment Centre

An urgent treatment centre is for anyone who needs to see a doctor or nurse urgently but is not in a life-threatening condition and is open everyday from 8am - 11pm (including bank holidays and Christmas Day).

Clinical Haematology

The Clinical Haematology department provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of malignant and non-malignant disorders of the blood and bone marrow.

West Yorkshire Regional Multiple Sclerosis Service

A specialised service providing treatment, support and advice for families affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

Lymphoedema Service

Providing a specialist outpatient service to assess and treat adults and children with primary and secondary lymphoedema.

Radiology (Wharfedale Hospital)

Orthotics (Wharfedale)

The Orthotics department at Wharfedale Hospital provides orthotic treatment solutions for a wide range of conditions including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and cerebral palsy. We see both adults and paediatrics.
