
Carole is a diagnostic radiographer by background, who is employed at LTHT as the Academic Capacity Development lead. Carole has developed a career in undertaking and advocating for, patient benefiting research and supporting our future research leaders across Leeds and the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The honorary title acknowledges Carole’s significant contribution to advancing knowledge and practice within her field, alongside sustained commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia, healthcare partners, and regional stakeholders.
In addition, Carole has actively contributed to interdisciplinary projects and has fostered strong partnerships locally, regionally and nationally. Her influence extends well beyond her immediate field, embodying the spirit of collaboration and innovation that Leeds Teaching Hospitals and the University of Leeds seeks to promote.

Her appointment is also in recognition of her work’s success in radiotherapy and generating impactful evidence and insights towards improving the academic development pipeline of new healthcare researchers.
