
Stacey, 47, from Leeds, and Aimee, 29, from Liversedge, both underwent complex robotic surgery at Leeds General Infirmary in November 2024. Their stories, featured on BBC Look North, raised awareness of endometriosis symptoms and how the disease can significantly affect quality of life.
Both patients praised the robotic surgery performed by Mr James Tibbott and his multidisciplinary team, crediting it with their recovery and improved quality of life.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals has been awarded provisional status as an accredited endometriosis treatment centre by the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, marking a significant step in improving access to specialist care in the region.
