Leeds Teaching Hospitals will be affected by Resident Doctors industrial action between 7am on Tuesday 7 April until 7am on Monday 13 April.
Our hospitals will be under a huge amount of pressure leading up to and during this strike. We are doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum and ensure the safety of patients.
NHS teams across Leeds continue to work hard to minimise disruption from the industrial action but it is expected that there will be a significant impact on local health services across the city.
Please attend hospital for any pre-booked appointments or treatment, unless you are contacted directly to tell you otherwise. We will contact you as soon as we can if we do need to rearrange your appointment.
Regardless of the strike action taking place, it is so important that people who need urgent medical care continue to come forward for help.
If you require emergency care, please continue to use emergency services as normal by calling 999 or visiting A&E. If you come to A&E and it is not an emergency, you are likely to face a long wait.
If you need medical help or advice, or you are unsure about whether you should go to hospital, go to NHS 111 online.
