Jessie’s journey into digital nursing was motivated by a desire to bridge the gap between technology and clinical care.
In her role, Jessie serves as a crucial link between technical and clinical teams, ensuring that digital systems are safe, user-friendly, and effective.
“Digital nursing is about way more than just technology – it’s about improving patient outcomes and empowering the patients to be actively involved in their care. It’s about digital inclusion, and making sure nurses feel supported in using digital tools effectively in a way that works for them.”
Whether it’s spending extra time with staff to ensure they feel comfortable with our new Clinical Digital Strategy, or advocating for the use of digital solutions to invest further into enhancing patient care, Jessie’s dedication to promoting the use of digital healthcare is clear.
“Ultimately, it’s about being a compassionate nurse who wants to do better for our patients and our colleagues, that is the centre of it.”
Jessie’s advice to those looking to enter the field of digital nursing is to be passionate about quality improvement. She believes that nurses don’t need to be technical experts to succeed in digital nursing – what’s most important is a willingness to think outside the box and advocate for positive change.
As we celebrate International Nurses Day, let’s recognise nurses like Jessie who are leading the way in digital transformation and making a positive difference for patients and clinical teams.
