Working with NHS professionals from across the country to explore digital transformation, share practical insights and focus on ways to improve healthcare through technology.
Sarah Hanbridge, Chief Clinical Information Officer, led a keynote panel discussion on ‘Digital Leadership: Now and in the Future’, sharing reflections on national priorities and the evolving role of digital leaders across the NHS.
Programme Managers Clare Green and Louise Haigh led a deep-dive workshop exploring EPR optimisation, and Gwen Saalmink, Senior Research Nurse joined Sarah Hanbridge to explain how the NHS England What Good Looks Like framework supports integration with the Trust’s Digital and Research strategies.
“Nurses are at the forefront of patient care, which means we’ve got a good understanding of the real problems that need to be solved. Resources and time are scarce in the NHS, and digital innovation should always start with the problem rather than implementing something groundbreaking without being clear what we’re trying to address. There’s real scope for nurses to be more involved in digital innovation and research and I’m interested in championing a network to bring people together and benefit from this experience and understanding locally, regionally and nationally. Events like HTN Live are a fantastic platform to support this aim.”
Gwen Saalmink, Senior Research Nurse
The event’s format encouraged collaboration through speed presentations, roundtable workshops and challenge-led discussions.
