Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has been shortlisted for four awards at this year’s HSJ Digital awards.
The awards celebrate excellence in digitising, connecting, and transforming health and care and LTHT has been shortlisted for four awards in three categories:
Digital Team of the Year
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Development team – Recognising LTHT’s in-house EHR Development team, responsible for the development of LTHT’s EHR system, PPM+. PPM+ supports everyday nursing, medical documentation and clinical processes for two of the region’s largest NHS Trusts – LTHT and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals. The system is actively used by over 22,000 clinicians, with more than 1.6 million eForm submissions every month.
Empowering Patients through Digital
Virtual Fracture Clinic – LTHT’s Virtual Fracture Clinic team has developed and implemented a new digital approach to treating simple and stable fractures, built around patient feedback and empowering patients to manage their treatment plan and recovery.
Improving Back-Office Efficiencies through Digital
Alerts Reporting System – Celebrating the development of a new alerts system to report significant unexpected findings on radiology imaging examinations. Integrated with PPM+, the system supports patient safety, improves reporting workflow and provides assurance of robust, clear communication.
Patient Hub – LTHT’s new appointments booking system, Patient Hub, has also been shortlisted, recognising the team’s work to digitise Outpatient appointment correspondence. Launched in June 2022, Patient Hub is now live in 90% of services across the Trust.
The winners will be announced on 22 June 2023 at an awards ceremony in Manchester.
