Healthcare professionals, heart failure patients, and advocates from across the UK have been recognised by the Pumping Marvellous Foundation (PMF) for their commitment to improving the lives of people living with heart failure. Among those honoured this year is Shannon Nickson, an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist here at the Trust, who has received the prestigious PMF Special Recognition Award.
PMF is the UK’s leading patient‑led heart failure charity, and their awards celebrate individuals who demonstrate outstanding dedication, compassion, and innovation in heart failure care. Shannon has been recognised for her unwavering commitment to supporting people living with heart failure and for the positive impact she continues to make across the region.
Shannon’s work, particularly through her involvement in the Heart Failure Academy and her ongoing partnership with patient‑led initiatives has made a meaningful difference to both clinical teams and the heart failure community.
This national award is a testament to Shannon’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient‑centred care. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and delighted to see her work recognised at a national level.
