The fellowship offers three years of support, covering tuition fees and a maintenance stipend, to allow individuals to pursue innovative research in healthcare, social work, and public health professions.

Anna Burt, J47 Junior Sister said: “As a nurse, I applied to the INSIGHT programme to deepen my research skills and to drive innovation at both the ward and trust level.”
Mark Wickens, Specialist Cardiac Physiologist said: “I’m excited to begin my clinical academic journey and to use this opportunity to support research within our cardiorespiratory department.”
Sophie Paul, Therapeutic Radiographer said: “I look forward to expanding my knowledge of clinical research, with a focus on cancer, to improve outcomes for my patients.”
Amina Khan, Physiotherapist in Adult Therapies said: “This programme will provide me with vital knowledge in health informatics, benefiting both patients and the physiotherapy service at LTHT.”
Megan O’Connor, Occupational Therapist said: “I am extremely excited to begin my master’s in clinical research at the University of Sheffield. Throughout my career I have actively utilised research literature to influence my practice and gained much inspiration through these continuous learning opportunities. Through completion of the masters, I hope to be able lead and support with research projects focussing on neurological rehabilitation within LTHT”.
Kimberley Guy, Nurse in Urgent Care said: “I’m eager to develop the skills needed to contribute to high-quality clinical research and evidence-based practice.”
